Tekkit !

The bluffing game
that puts trust to the test.

Safe or trapped?

Your neighbor seems sincere.
That’s exactly the problem.

A card is either safe or trapped, with equal odds. Only the player offering it knows. They can tell the truth or lie: your choice is about the card, not what they say.

The idea

How does it work?

The phone goes around. Certainty is harder to pass on.

01Look

A card to keep to yourself

Secretly check whether your card is safe or trapped, then hide it before offering it to your neighbor. Both outcomes are equally likely.

02Bluff

The truth is still an option

Say anything you like: your neighbor chooses “It’s safe!” or “It’s trapped!” without seeing the card. Other players can join in the conversation.

03Decide

The card decides the outcome

Accepting a trapped card eliminates the receiver. Spotting the trap eliminates its holder. Rejecting a safe card also eliminates the receiver. The last player standing wins.

Made to share

The best poker faces
give away nothing.

Tekkit ! is played as much through glances as on the screen. The rules take a few sentences; the rest is hesitation, overconfident smiles and neighbors you thought you knew.

A circle of 3–12 people

Sit in the order entered at the start. The game tracks the phone’s path and eliminations.

For fans of bluffing

No trivia to study. Decide who to trust and keep a straight face when you hold a trapped card.

Your turn

Get a game ready
in three steps.

  1. Sit in a circle

Gather 3–12 people and use one phone for the whole group.

  2. Add your names

Enter names in circle order. The phone shows who offers the card and who has to decide.

  3. Keep it secret

The first player checks their card away from prying eyes, then hides it before passing the phone.

The rules and practical details for enjoying the game together.

What is the goal of Tekkit !?

Be the last player standing. Each turn, a player offers a secret card to their neighbor, who decides whether it is safe or trapped. The game tracks the circle order and eliminations.

Am I guessing whether my neighbor is lying?

Your choice concerns the card: “It’s safe!” or “It’s trapped!”. Its holder can tell the truth or lie. Their words do not change the result.

What happens if I choose “It’s safe!”?

You accept the card. If it is safe, you stay in and draw your own card for the next player. If it is trapped, you are eliminated.

What if I choose “It’s trapped!”?

You reject the card. If it really is trapped, its holder is eliminated. If it is safe, you are out instead.

How many players do we need?

3–12 people in the same room. Enter names in circle order. After an elimination, play resumes with the player after the one who left.

Do I need to install or buy the game?

No. Tekkit ! is free and opens in your browser. Pass a single phone from hand to hand; this is not remote multiplayer.

Shall we get together?

So,
Safe or trapped?

One phone. Your group.
What happens next is up to you.
