BARÆ Top du Top: understand the shared solo leaderboard
Daily places, ties and catch-up games: how to read the daily and monthly Top du Top in the BARÆ application.

A timer, correct answers and game points cannot be compared directly. Top du Top brings solo games together using your position in each daily challenge.
One leaderboard for different kinds of games
BARÆ’s solo games do not all measure the same thing. Some favour a short time, while others count points or correct answers. Top du Top uses the place you earn in each daily game leaderboard to award shared points.
The scale awards 15 points for first place, 12 for second and 10 for third. Fourth place earns 9, then the award decreases by one per place down to 1. A ranked game from twelfth place onwards still earns 1 point. Tied players receive the points for their shared rank.
Read the daily and monthly views
The daily view combines the points awarded for challenges on the selected date. The monthly view adds the points from those daily challenges. It does not simply turn your monthly position in each game into another set of points.
For example, places worth 15 and 10 points in two games give 25 points for those daily results. Other ranked games can add to the total. The detail depends on the recorded results and ties, rather than just the score shown after a single game.
Catch-up games belong to their challenge date
The monthly challenges section offers available dates you have missed. A catch-up result belongs to its challenge date and contributes to that month. It does not become a second attempt at today’s challenge.
Positions can change when other players finish a game or catch up on an earlier date. Top du Top then reflects the recorded leaderboards. Signing in to your shared account helps associate results from different games with your profile.
Choose the way you enjoy playing
You can follow one game or try several challenges. The shared total also rewards participation across different games; it is not a claim that one player knows more about every subject. Follow your progress in games you enjoy and treat the shared leaderboard as another useful perspective.
