BibGo — game screen

BibGo turns bingo into a short Bible knowledge challenge. Each character gives you a choice about which square will help your grid most.

A grid of categories rather than numbers

BibGo uses a three-by-three grid. Its squares contain Bible categories. For the character presented to you, choose a category that fits. Recognising the name is only part of the challenge: you also decide where that correct answer will be most useful.

The categories stay visible after their squares have been checked. You can keep reasoning about the grid without having to remember which theme appeared before a square changed colour.

Understand the points before filling the grid

A correct answer in a new square earns 5 points. Correctly using an already checked square earns 2 points. A mistake loses 5 points. Your first bingo brings a 20-point bonus, with 10 points for each additional bingo.

New squares matter, but checked squares are not useless. Before answering, consider both the categories that fit the character and the lines you are building. A square that helps prepare two possible bingos may be more useful than one chosen without looking at the rest of the board.

A simple approach to your first game

  1. Identify what you know about the character.
  2. Find compatible categories before considering possible bonuses.
  3. Among the suitable choices, favour a new square or a promising line.
  4. Read the result to distinguish a knowledge mistake from a less useful placement.

You do not need a perfect strategy to enjoy your first game. It can also show how one character belongs to several different parts of the Bible’s stories.
