La Chaîne: recognise the connections in Bible stories
Two names, four connections and twenty seconds: a practical introduction to La Chaîne, BARÆ’s daily Bible challenge.

A familiar Bible name often brings a story to mind. La Chaîne asks you to recognise the connection between two elements of that story, one answer at a time.
Recognise a connection between two elements
In La Chaîne, read two Bible names or elements and choose the expected relationship from four answers. An introduction demonstrates the idea before the scored game starts. A correct answer adds a link; a wrong answer or an expired timer ends your chain with the points you have earned.
You do not have to type a name from memory or recall an exact date. The question is about a relationship: who accompanies whom, which elements belong to a story, or how a person fits into an event. A game can reach thirty links, with twenty seconds for each answer.
Read both names before choosing
First ask yourself where you have encountered each element. Try to describe their connection in your own words before selecting an answer that merely sounds familiar. Several options may bring real Bible stories to mind, but the game is asking for the relationship between the two elements on screen.
An uncertain answer can point you towards a passage to revisit later. If someone is watching beside you, leave the discussion until the result: the timer keeps running during a question.
Use your one joker deliberately
The joker reveals the correct connection and completes that link. You have one per game. It can help with a relationship you do not know, rather than save a second on one you already recognise. It does not guarantee a complete thirty-link chain: the next question still needs your attention.
